Don’t cling

Don’t cling to this world.
We weren’t born to be eternal.
Don’t cling to material things.
They remain in the Underworld.
Don’t cling to your children; they too will make their own nests.
Don’t cling to friends; they won’t always be with you.
Don’t cling to a job; someday you will be fired.
Don’t cling to youth because youth is fleeting.
It’s like a beautiful spring, but a winter where trees shed their leaves and new ones will sprout.
New generations will also pass.
Everything is temporary.
Houses remain.
Family ends.
Children grow old too.
Everything has its time and its end.
Nothing is eternal.
Nothing that is material or physical.
Everything ages.
Everything goes away.

The only thing that doesn’t change is the love for God.
That remains always.
Seek Him now while you can.
Because tomorrow you don’t know if you will leave for good.
