They say that once upon a time, all the feelings and qualities of human beings gathered somewhere on Earth.
When Boredom had yawned for the third time, Madness, always so mad, proposed: “Let’s play hide and seek!”
Intrigue raised an intrigued eyebrow and Curiosity, unable to contain herself, asked: “Hide and seek? How’s that?”
“It’s a game,” explained Madness, “in which I cover my eyes and start counting from one to a million. And when I finish counting, the first one of you that I find will take my place to continue the game.”
Enthusiasm danced enthusiastically, seconded by Euphoria. Joy jumped so much that she ended up convincing Doubt. Even Apathy, who never cared about doing anything, was convinced.
But not everyone wanted to participate. Truth preferred not to hide… why? If in the end, she was always found. Pride considered it a very silly game (what really bothered her was that the idea hadn’t been hers). And Cowardice preferred not to risk it.
“One, two, three…” Madness began to count.
The first to hide was Laziness. Always so lazy, she let herself fall behind the first stone on the path. Faith ascended to the sky, and Envy hid in the shadow of Triumph, which with his own effort, had climbed to the top of the tallest…
